Run 08

Still Going! Damn this morning was hard to start. I was able to wake up fine as I was waiting for the alarm to go off. But then the run started off extremely slow and I was feeling it. My body was kind of feeling tired, but also the blisters on my right foot were hurting a bit. It is really weird how my right foot is the only foot that has blisters now. My left foot started off with one blister on the in step. But now it is gone and the right foot is the only one, and they are not good. But oh well I will keep on trucking. Oh yeah also my under arms now are starting to get chafed a fair bit and start to hurt half way through the run. So I really need to go get some lubricant of some sort this afternoon. Hopefully I remember.

Pretty stoked though as I have run some longer runs over the last 3 days. Last night I was thinking damn it is nice to have a 5k run in the morning. Then I checked my schedule and it was a 10k today. So I was a little nervous. But stoked I was able to get through it and also keep a decent enough time. I was very slow at the start looking at over 5 minute kilometers. But then I was able to pick it back up on the down hill from Sognsvann. And actually started to feel a lot better on the way down. As the up hill was tough and I was struggling a bit. Can't wait for the marathon. gulp!

Anyway onto the stats for the day:
start: 7.17am (another late start as I was applying band aids to feet and needed to go toilet before ;) )
distance: 10.09 km
time: 49'05"
Av Speed: 12.34 kph

So there you have it again. You can also still check out my stats on the buddyrunner site. www.buddyrunner.com/markdath. This has the breakdown of all the runs I have done over the last week and also some before that. Well I have now ran a total of 70km + which is great. Over 8 days is not a bad effort. I am looking forward to some relaxing 5km runs over the next 2 days. Also hoping to get to interval training tomorrow night but have some stuff on as well. But we will see.

Cheers

Mark
